Do you believe the Constitution has been used to attack our way of life instead of ensuring it? If so, has the Constitution, as currently interpreted, become a suicide pact?

It’s trendy on the right to blame Marxist professors or leftist politicians for destroying the America we loved. We profoundly disagree with many of the people we interact with or see on MSNBC, CNN, or even those sitting in our pews. Our anger is boundless and lacks a central focus. Why? Because we’re blaming the victims instead of the what really got the ball rolling. What are we going to do, nuke half our population? No, our focus is wrong, and it’s time we realized it. We need to amend our Constitution to address threats that were never envisioned during its creation, and that requires too much stretching by the Supreme Court. Yes, I realize the danger in opening up that can of worms.

Primary Threats not Addressed by our Constitution:-

We face three primary threats not adequately addressed by our Constitution:

  1. Social Media
  2. Immigrant Assimilation
  3. Birthright Citizenship

You would have a hard time finding anyone who would say we are hunky-dory today, compared to the general prosperity and happiness shared by many after World War II, lasting through about 1985. Something has gone wrong with our society, and we are still trying to determine how to address the issues that plague us.

The inherent strength of our country was once evident in the continued economic prosperity that enabled the creation of great wealth, an expanded middle class, and increased leisure time, as Depression-era poverty had been largely defeated, marking the beginning of a more permanent state of leisure.

Post 1985, we witnessed the rise of our current quasi-socialist state, which guarantees safety net benefits that have grown increasingly larger with each passing decade. Hunger has largely been eliminated from all except those who either refuse help or don’t have the mental capacity to make rational choices.

The ball really got rolling when we released the lunatics from the institutions after 1975 with the landmark Supreme Court decision O’Connor v. Donaldson, which held:

“A State cannot constitutionally confine a non-dangerous individual who is capable of surviving safely in freedom by themselves or with the help of willing and responsible family members or friends.”

This created a new perspective—individuals with antisocial tendencies were to be given normative status, thereby amplifying and spreading their views. The ramifications of this decision can now be perceived as much greater than just affecting insane or violent individuals. It was a turning point for how we perceived Free Speech as well. Issues of how we allow obviously incompatible rhetoric, frequently violent, to flourish in our halls of education, the promotion of DEI to expand the lunacy, coddling criminals, encouraging illegal immigration, seeing a good work ethic as racist and much more, all have their genesis in a new laize faire view of people doing their own thing, regardless of its effect on the good order and discipline of the country. Now, our legal systems have been similarly affected, with the justice system politicized.

Algorithm That Reshaped Social Media:-

Social Media is the foundational promoter of this discord. The Chinese-written third-generation TikTok dominates, led by an algorithm-first experience, which has led us to the deep hole we find ourselves in today. Users are presented with content based on their behavior, not their social connections. Addictive videos bypass weakened reading skills, adding customizations and artificially boosting personal esteem; all highly addictive, powered by AI-driven recommendations. And, the real heroin… Democratized virality—anyone could go viral, regardless of follower count. TikTok is America’s Soma.

Social Media, supercharged by smartphones, has stoked the fires of discontent, leading many to conclude that Western culture took a wrong turn and now faces its imminent demise.

Social Media is the most powerful supporter of illegal immigration, dehumanization, excusing the undoing of American values, and the rule of law. Wouldn’t that be precisely what China intended?

With the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk, a significant swath of America stopped what it was doing and, in one collective voice, said, “Who are we?” The Answer—millions of us are nothing more than permanently damaged drones; we know that now. It’s not Antifa or Trans or even Marxist in government that are defeating us; it’s the afterbirth of social media that is draining us dry of reason, kindness, industriousness, honor—our future.

An open question exists in our country’s expectations for immigrants, whether legal or illegal, regarding the issue of assimilation. Social Media is an enabler that encourages and allows immigrants to remain separate and apart from our traditions. This cannot be allowed to stand; otherwise, a bifurcated society, a facsimile of what we once were, will see the light of the world extinguished.

We must fix our Constitution to meet threats to our existence. If we can’t understand what happened to us, we have no hope. No more time for bandaide fixes or homilies to how things used to be. We’re in the octagon and punch drunk from the beatings we’ve endured.

Social media needs to be tightly reined in, or we won’t exist as a functioning society in another generation or two; it’s that serious. Do we really have a constitutional right to destroy ourselves? The signs of our undoing are everywhere. Half of our population will agree, while the other half will think I’m crazy.

Thank God we’re not a democracy but a Constitutional Republic. It’s time for Americans to meet the threat while we still have the numbers. We need Constitutional Amendments that achieve the following if we are to survive:

  1. An Amendment recognizing Social Media as having the power to dehumanize citizens by amplifying anti-Americanism, constituting a danger to our continuation. Such technology is not Free Speech but subversive and anathema to the principles of freedom, individualism, and the right to self-determination. The Amendment would no longer shield social media platforms from lawsuits and would establish a standard of responsibility for such platforms.
  2. An Amendment to codify that immigrants have limited rights inferior to citizens, while specifically barring almost all rights to illegal aliens. English would become the only official language. Legal immigrants would be given five years to assimilate or be deported. Immigrants would be ineligible for subsidies. Congress would define requirements for assimilation.
  3. An Amendment to codify an end to Birthright Citizenship.

Conclusion:-

Only through changes to the supreme law of the land can our Republic be saved. A grassroots organization is needed to lead the charge. We already have organizations like the Convention of States, but they are not specifically tailored to this requirement.

Until these three Amendments are adopted, the Republic will continue to be at risk. Who or what organization can lead this endeavor?

God Bless America!
