As published in American Thinker on December 14th.

I woke up this morning and turned on Fox for my regular morning update on what’s going on around the world. Today, I was feted to not one outrage, but two; the Brown University and the Bondi Beach massacres. It’s still early in the hunt for ground truth, but some early takeaways can already be gleaned:

  1. There is a relationship between the two shootings, even if both turn out to have happened for ostensibly different reasons.
  2. Both were likely preventable.
  3. We’re becoming inured to these incidents.
  4. We’ll wind up blaming the wrong reasons.
  5. It will happen again and again.

Hatred Traditional Judeo-Christian System:-

I used the word outrage in my first paragraph. That word has been overused and no longer conveys the deadly logic of what transpired on two different continents, yet another repetition of what has become our new norm. We seem to have lost the moral courage required to confront the ultimate hate crime; murder not for revenge or financial gain, nor for an individual wrong, but for hatred of an entire race of people or the ideology they believe. This connects both events as either Jew hatred or hatred of our traditional Judeo-Christian system.

As I listened to the Prime Minister of Australia, Albanese, this morning, a full twelve hours after the murder of 12 with at least another 29 injured, you could not be struck by the absence of any mention of the word Jew, Chanukah, or hatred being front and center in the Prime Minister’s remarks. The Prime Minister intentionally missed an opportunity to tell the truth.

When truth dies—whether through lies, corruption, or silence—something essential in human dignity and society dies too. Truth has died in Australia, and it is dying here as well.

We’ll hear from all manner of experts, theologians, politicians, witnesses, and even the common man about what transpired. But we will not hear anything that resembles the truth.

The truth is that we have allowed the haters to dominate us. It will likely come out that this time, like most previous times of similar tragedy, we had fair warning of what was likely to happen (Australia’s current national terrorism threat level is set at PROBABLE, meaning authorities assess there is a greater than 50% chance of an onshore terrorist attack or attack planning within the next 12 months) and there have been enough on campus attacks in 2025 to assess much the same. Yet, we appear to be impotent to do anything about it.

Why we’re potent to do Anything?

There are two reasons:

  1. This is our new normal, and we have allowed it to continue. Public interest has become complacent, and we have not demanded that effective action be taken.
  2. The effective action would require a change in public policy towards profiling.

It is time to end the hatred by taking the haters off the playing field. The only way to do that, be it a dedicated terrorist or a goth student, is to profile. Profiling has become a dreaded word because of its specious ties to discrimination, injustice, and abuse of power. It is also too damn effective for some.

Let’s stop kidding ourselves, it’s us or them, or us. I want it to be us. Let’s start profiling, even if it sometimes raises a false positive. I’ve noticed that articles that I’ve written about Jew hate or other mass killings tend to receive a lower reader count. I have surmised that’s because it is too depressing, and there seems to be no solution. But there is.

Conclusion:-

If we want to survive as the society we aspire to be, we must do two things: First, we must teach people the right way to live, which requires morality and accountability at all times. The second thing we must do is hold our collective noses if we must, but remove those that are antithetical to good order, safety, and prosperity from amongst us.

Are we willing to apply the necessary will, intelligence, and effort to safeguard our country? Can we return to common sense when it comes to the unbridled hatred that seems to control too many of us?

These are the questions we need to answer quickly.

God Bless America!
