Trump blew a drug boat to smithereens (now two), and leftists are up in arms. We’ll reveal not only the rationale for why they’re wrong but also why they are literally panicking.
For every true conservative or Republican, now is the time to declare where you stand. The left has effectively twisted free speech, leading to our country having a virtual sell-by date as far as they are concerned. Just take a moment and take it all in: a communist mayor soon to run New York City, millions of illegal aliens and criminals that have demonstrably more rights than you do. You’re being told that speech is violence, and tens of thousands are cheering the death of a peaceful purveyor of faith and truth. Today’s subject is patriotism, and it too is under attack. Everything that supports the central tenets of a free America is fair game to those who scream for due process yet deny that to freedom-loving Americans, terrorizing us with their actual violence and contempt for America.
A Trend that Denies American Enemies:-
I recently discussed the importance of patriotism and the ever-decreasing number of people who self-identify as patriotic Americans. It’s a disturbing trend that has not gone unnoticed by our enemies. Concurrently, I’ve noticed a parallel trend that rejects the notion that America has enemies, leading to a decline in the necessity for patriotism—a classic feedback loop. I’ve observed a fascinating and fraught shift in political language and moral framing. The discomfort some readers feel with the term “enemy” reflects deeper cultural currents—especially in liberal democracies—around polarization, moral relativism, and an overwhelming fear of escalation.
A perfect example of this thinking happened on September 2nd when President Trump authorized “Direct Action” against a speedboat out of Venezuela carrying drugs, which was summarily destroyed by our military, dispensing with previous law enforcement tactics. Importantly, a perceived lack of due process according to progressives. Due process is the newest tool of the left to thwart the actions by the Trump Administration to fulfill the election mandates he promised. But, there is a deeper reason for the change in tactics:
The use of Direct Action, whether warned or not, is intended to signal the end of the proportionality response policy of the last 30 years and thereby dramatically raise the risk to drug traffickers, thereby changing the calculus of the $100 billion drug trafficking business, which sees over 100,000 dead Americans annually.
More Americans have died from drugs than all the wars we’ve fought in the last century. If there ever were a national imperative, this is it. We must be fearless in our response to an unconventional enemy, one backed by foreign interests, both real and not imaginary. We are faced with a clear and present danger that requires the use of American power to confront and defeat an enemy killing us with impunity.
Many progressives are up in arms over the “rights” of those narcos killed, not receiving due process they so assiduously claim. They are terrified that they’ll lose even more fights if they cannot halt Trump’s various rapid-fire initiatives, which they find challenging to react to in real-time, until they latch on to the wholesome, all-American-sounding “Everyone deserves due process.” All the rhetoric you hear is just a Democratic tactic to overcome Trump’s winning streak. If they can’t stop him in the courts on this issue, they’re almost out of ammunition, what we called “Winchester” in the military. Democrats care as much about due process as well-fed kitty cat! They were more than willing to take away their enemies’ due process when it was to their advantage! Just ask President Trump about that!
President Trump justified the U.S. military strike on the Venezuelan “go-fast” boat by framing it as a counter-narcotics and anti-terrorism operation. According to his public statements, the 11 individuals killed were members of Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan gang that the U.S. recently designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, allowing for the use of the military and subsequent deadly force.
Who’s Winning & on What Front?
Our country spends extraordinary amounts of money fighting illegal immigration, poverty, drugs, crime in the streets, Medicaid and Medicare fraud, with no discernible results on any front. Leftists have been winning in the lower courts. It is undeniable that process has been elevated above the absolute necessity to preserve our culture and heritage. For example, I’ve observed FEMA funding the rebuilding of the same roads and buildings repeatedly after weather events, as there’s money available to do so, but little to no funding for mitigation measures that would end disaster cycles once and for all. The god of process is served over logic.
That’s precisely why we are vulnerable, as government officials focus on procedure over actual mission accomplishment. This is the mindset that Trump is attempting to drive out of our bloated government.
Conclusion:-
Surviving the next 50 years and emerging stronger, truer to our shared values, begins with authentic patriotism. President Trump is demonstrating out-of-the-box thinking that will confound and overcome our enemies, much as we did with the fall of the Soviet Union, which was no accident. Superior ideas and follow-through will prevail. We dare not surrender our special and unique advantages to a collection of tyrants. We dare not let anyone define our patriotism by their woke standard. Fight, Fight, Fight. We are the good guys! And let’s never forget that American exceptionalism is real, valuable, and rare, yet it is being lost under the relentless onslaught of progressivism.
