Recently, the reality that we have real existential enemies was on display when Xi, Putin, Kim, and Modi met, giving the impression that together, they possess superior leverage against us as a consequence of the ongoing loss of America’s cohesion. Trump responded:

“Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against the United States of America,”

We seem to take it for granted that we are an irreversibly divided country, with no clear answer on how to come together, or even whether it’s possible or a central requirement to do so. We are living in the first iteration of a post-Americana Republic. And, this time, we can’t blame the Dems. Let me explain:

Americana refers to objects, ideas, and cultural expressions that are closely tied to the United States and its heritage.

Americana is inexorably tied to patriotism. Recent polling reveals that patriotism is uneven among our citizens, and virtually nonexistent among the “guests” living among us whom progressives vociferously demand remain.

Self-Identified U.S. Patriotism by Group (2025 Snapshot)

Demographic Group % Who Say They Are “Very Patriotic”
Overall U.S. Adults 42%
Men 48%
Women 36%
Age 65+ 61%
Age 18–34 28%
Republicans 65%
Democrats 29%
Independents 38%
White Americans 45%
Black Americans 33%
Hispanic Americans 31%
Gen Z-All 41%
Gen Z-Democrat Leaning 24%

Scary numbers indeed, especially among Gen Z. How do we remain Americans if only our elderly profess to love our country in large numbers?

Illegal aliens, especially the 40% of the estimated 18 million that speak little or no English, are not great prospects for assimilation or are not here fundamentally to become good Americans. Learning English is the first and easiest path to assimilation, followed by positive civic attitudes that naturally supercharge the assimilation process. Crime, rioting in our streets, breaking into our country, with the majority living here on government support, possess none of those positive civic attitudes; hence, President Trump’s mandate and intention to remove as many as possible, as quickly as possible. Illegal immigration is anathema to societal cohesion.

Our country has an identity problem! Not just Identity Politics, but in terms of the unifying factors required of all Americans. How did this happen?

I have an engineering bent and am familiar with stress analysis, fracture prediction, failure analysis, and related concepts. If you were to analyze our culture as an engineering problem, it would quickly become evident that our stresses are not adequately accounted for; as such, we are headed for structural collapse. The signs are everywhere, yet we either can’t seem to see them or think it’s someone else’s problem.

In a nutshell, many American citizens take their country and their continued status for granted, leading to a limited interest and understanding of what it will take for the U.S. to remain a vital entity and to keep America Great. A combination of limited, false, or constantly changing information fuels our angst, leading to trust issues with our leaders. It has become increasingly difficult for many to understand which specific policies are either essential or problematic, leading to a default rejection, which reflects the current state of affairs. And that’s not counting those who are dedicated to and actively subverting our country within and without our government.

Running for office in no way guarantees that an individual is pro-American, knows our history, or understands exactly how the American Dream came to be; Exhibit One is The Squad.

Rumors of the death of the American Dream are heard everywhere. Where is messaging coming from?

In 1999, 58% of people lived in the middle class; that number today is 50%, a figure that is itself suspect. The change in middle-class debt is profound. In 1999, total household debt was $4.54 trillion. Startling, today that debt stands at $18.39 trillion, spread over a smaller number of households (16% less adjusted for growth) than in 1999. Even adjusted for inflation, it’s easy to see that the 400% increase in household debt is a literal sword of Damocles hanging over our middle class. People are pulling back on spending, as almost any restaurateur will attest.

Our total GDP is $27.36 trillion. Huge numbers that mean little on their own. In 2025, the government’s direct cost was $11.08 trillion, or 40.5% of the economy. In 1999, the United States’ total GDP was $9.51 trillion. The government’s cost was $3.66 trillion, or 37.8% of our economy. This means the government has grown in relative terms by another 7% of the country’s total economic output. Put another way, government, at all levels, is sucking out opportunity from individuals and businesses who represent an ever-smaller percentage of the pie. How long can this be sustainable?

Any treatise on the subject must also include a section on how our enemies are taking advantage of our “stresses.” Look no further than Xi’s China, holding the largest military parade in history and surrounded by our enemies and frenemies that think they can make us blink, given the terrific internal strains our country is enduring. America’s enemies congratulated themselves on defeating Japan 80 years ago. In Xi’s speech, there was no mention of America’s role in winning World War II. India’s leader ducked out after attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, still signaling his displeasure at Trump’s Secondary Sanctions for purchasing Russian oil and gas. There is no other way to look at it than China and India together purchasing 80% of Russia’s oil, which is directly tied to the deaths of thousands of Ukrainians.

America’s lack of cohesion and purpose emboldens our enemies. It weakens us, thereby risking future war by bellicose adversaries who see an opening and an opportunity due to our internal disunity.

Conclusion:-

Republicans have reached the outer limits of their ability to direct the country in a conservative and patriotic direction. The American people don’t seem to have the conviction they once did. Together, this has allowed the weakest and most Marxist Democratic Party in history to not only stay relavent, but to suck up much of the oxygen in the room and redirecting essential conversations and actions to irrelevent issues like Epstein, Trans rights, immigrant rights, and other matters, that while they have their importance, pale in comparison to whether or not our country will even be a country in another 50 years.

That should be the issue on everyone’s minds, but because our center hasn’t held, the lunatics, communists, and anti-Americans hold the microphone and, incredibly, the gavel all too often.

God Bless America!
